Families also flock to Ipswich Wildlife Sanctuary for their Weekend Maple Sugaring Weekend.  Naturalist-guided tours, visitors will learn how to identify a sugar maple, observe tapping and sap collection methods, watch the sap being boiled down in the sugarhouse, and get a sweet taste of the final product.

Any to the south, visit the Blue Hills Trailside Museum for their annual Maple Sugar Days Festival to experience the sugaring process from tree to table and discover how sugaring has evolved over time.  Smell the wood smoke as you watch clouds of steam rise from bubbling sap cooking into syrup in the sugar house.
